Our team of expert doctors at the Fibroid Clinic includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons, gynecologic sonographers, interventional radiologists and pain management specialists. Depending on the patient’s symptoms, the size and location of the fibroids, her age and desire for future fertility, our physicians work as a team to help each patient determine her best treatment option.
Additionally the Fibroid Clinic works closely with other divisions and departments at UHealth to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment options. For example, patients experiencing frequent urination or trouble urinating may be referred to a urogynecologist, or patients experiencing trouble with bowel movements may be referred to a colorectal surgeon.
